Is P90X too intimidating for you?

Upon the recommendation of my Beachbody coach, I selected Power90 and Shakeology as my starting programs.  I made this selection because I had hit a 6 week weight loss plateau and still had 50 lbs to go to reach my doctor’s targeted healthy weight.  My starting aerobic conditioning was moderate as I had been walking 3-4 miles per day 6 days a week.  My strength training was at a beginner level because I had not done strength training in 20 years.  Based upon my starting fitness level I believe Power90 was a great choice for me as I was challenged at every phase yet I could keep up well enough that I did not get discouraged.  After 132 days I have lost 37 lbs and I have gotten stronger and started to reshape the body.

Next week I plan to move on to the next phase of my fitness journey with P90X.  Power90 still provides a great workout and I’m still losing about 1 lb per week, but I’m ready for a new challenge and believe the change in intensity will have additional benefits towards reshaping the body.
