P90X and Shakeology have been the keys to losing the last 10 pounds! I wanted to share my experience with these amazing two products.
How P90X and Shakeology helped to lose the last 10 pounds?
I have discussed a number of times the benefits of Shakeology in terms of nutrition and how this product gives me the energy I need to do the daily workouts. Without this product I would not have had the stamina to keep up with the demands of the P90X workouts. Shakeology served as my after workout recovery formula and as my supplements throughout this round of P90X. Another key to my success was sticking with the P90X nutrition guide which is broken down into three phases and adapts to your body’s needs as you progress through the program. Chocolate Shakeology was also my daily treat and when blended with ice, skim milk, and a banana is better than a Wendy’s frosty! The reason this was important was because it made it easy to go 90 days with NO sweets! Now I wasn’t perfect during those 90 days, I did allow myself chips and salsa and a few beers on the weekends. This is a life change for me, not something I’m doing for 90 days and stopping, so I do today what I can continue tomorrow. If you are more disciplined and strictly follow the nutrition plan, then your results will be even better!
P90X is one butt kicking good time! These series of 12 workouts are designed for a total body workout. One day you are working your chest and back with strength training and the next you will be doing plyometrics or jump training for a cardio blasting good time. Each day you are doing something different so it never gets boring or repetitive. The 90 day program is broken into 3 phases – phases 1 & 2 are each 4 weeks long and phase 3 is 5 weeks long. Each phase builds upon the next and is constantly changing so that you get the maximum benefit of muscle confusion. P90X is considered one of Beachbody’s advanced programs so I would strongly recommend that you take the P90X fitness test to see if your are ready for this program. Before starting P90X, I had completed a round of Power90 which definitely helped to prepare me. However, I still could not do all the workout moves in P90X, but over time I got better and better with each workout. The key to why P90X helped me to lose those last 10 pounds was because it added muscle to increase my metabolism and provided cardio workouts to burn calories.
I would highly recommend these programs for someone who is trying to lose those last stubborn pounds. P90X and Shakeology definitely made it possible for me to lose the last 10 pounds!
